C A L G A R Y Our weekend to Calgary just to see what it was like. If you look closely, you can actually see MOUNTAINS. We were one week too early for the Calgary Stampede, but we did see hay bales and decorated windows downtown, ready for the tourists, showing their cowpoke pride. Mark and I enjoyed ourselves, driving around the city to get a "feel" for it, eating at what the Candadians call Mexican food, Julios Barios. I tried the original Bulldog because their margaritas are nothing like the Rio's. It wasn't bad.
We also went to the Calgary Tower, which has a rotating restaurant at the top, but we had already eaten, so we just enjoyed the view. We visited the BBB people who were holding a job fair and of course visited the site where the BBB store will be. Somehow, no matter where we drove, we always ended up back downtown, so I guess all roads end up downtown in Calgary. Next trip will include a drive over to Banff which is about an hour away and includes Lake Louise and is BEAUTIFUL!

A FOREST.....WITHIN A CITY

What is that noise? A baby crying? An animal?
Oh, it's a tree and the wind!
This gives you a good idea of what the forests in Canada look like, thick and a lot of underbrush!
These are the famous Wild Roses of Alberta. They say people use the Rose Hips for salads after the roses are done blooming.
This was our Father's Day Walk - A FOREST in THE CITY
