Celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary in Edmonton Alberta CAN. We went to dinner at the Keg, http://www.kegsteakhouse.com/, a nice steakhouse. We had to have cheesecake for dessert, (a tradition) but it didn't match up to the Manor House in Ken Caryl, http://www.citymtnviews.com/Arch-ManorHouse.php4, where we went for one of our anniversaries. Then, we went to the ComicStrip (http://www.thecomicstrip.ca/), at West Ed (mall) to see Suzanne Whang. The opening act was better than Suzanne Whang, who was a man from Calgary. That was our opinion. Oh well, you can't win them all, but we bought future tickets for the end of June to see Christopher Titus. We are going to the late night show, 10:30, do you think I can stay awake? It was a very nice anniversary, I Mark did not know the plans, so it was a surprise. While eating at the Keg, there was an older couple that was also there celebrating their anniversary, but we did not know how many years, but were curious, as they were very old.

Temporary BBB Site North Ed

PREVIOUS DENTIST OFFICE NOW NORTH ED BBB TEMPORARY SITE
This is the gang at the temporary site; Katie, Mark, Keltie and Clint (Ute and Lucia were not avail. that day). The site they are working out of is on the second floor of a building that houses doctors and dentists. It is in the mall that they are remodeling that the Bed Bath and Beyond will be in. It used to be an indoor mall and now will be an outdoor mall. Notice they do not have any computers or printers to help them with the WORK they need to be doing! This is a room that they used as an interview room for future BBB employees. Too bad we didn't get a picture of Tigger painted on the door. They can't wait until they take possession of the store and start fixturing & merchandising June 1st. (The store has been delayed three times since we arrived in Canada, April 29th).

Jasper National Park - Victoria Day - "May Long Weekend"

This is a really green lake
May 17th, Canada's May Long Weekend, or Victoria Day, Mark and I drive to Jasper National Park. It is a 4 hour drive, but hey, what else do we have to do? It is rainy and overcast. Once we get there, the mountains remind of us the Grand Tetons, and the forests are thick and beautiful. They haven't been hit by the Pine Beetle, that has infested the Colorado forests. There are natural springs, which we could smell. We did see elk, mountain sheep and a fox crossing the road. We walked around the small town of Jasper, which reminded us of Estes Park. We bought an ice cream cone, Mark, strawberry, me something gooey. All the ice cream in the town is supplied by Nestle, so all stores had the same flavors. No Strawberry Cheesecake, only Cherry. Then we drove home, planning our weekend when we can come again, to hike, go to the hot springs and go see the glacier and ride out to it in the glacier mobiles.
